Alex Breugl was born in Stuttgart in 1978 and studied Romance languages—including where they are spoken—and comparative literature; he has always enjoyed photography and has collected boxes full of poetry and prose. Her love of languages and their inexhaustible expressive possibilities has only grown through her experience teaching in German schools and at the Foreign Office in Bangkok. She has lived in Berlin with her children since 2014 and captures in words and images what life brings, not least the everyday moments.
