The joint creation of quilts from old fabric remnants was already an important social event in the past. Fabric remnants were processed into blankets using patchwork techniques, while personal stories were exchanged. We also want to create textile pictures from old, unusable clothing and fabrics through simple techniques and creativity. In a small group of ten participants, individual pictures are created in four meetings with the support of two textile artists. The process of creation, manual work, mindful interaction with each other and with resources becomes an important part of this project. The project will be presented at the Neustadt Art Festival (September 22 – 9, 2023). The exhibition of the works is voluntary.
