States of broken or lost connections seem to be ubiquitous within our modern way of life. They range from the procurement of interpersonal relationships, the coexistence of analog and digital space, to the perception of humans in the context of their natural environment. The exhibition focuses on some of these areas of tension and invites contemplation of a world in which the connection to ourselves, our fellow human beings, and our environment often appears fragile.
Under the title “re.con” (reconnection), we, four young Dresden residents from different disciplines, have come together. Shaped by our friendship and the common passion for art, we share our ideas and inspire and support each other. From left to right, we are Christoph (room and sound installations), Georg (painting), Timotheus (photography), Lea (graphics/street art). With our works, we want to create a space for dialogue and collective reflection on the value of connections in an endlessly modernizing world.
