Antifa Against Antisemitism – Education Day at AZ Conni
October 7, 2023 marks a turning point. The most devastating antisemitic pogrom since 1945 brought much suffering to the victims of the terrorist attack, their families and friends, as well as to the only refuge of Jewish life worldwide, the State of Israel. Non-Jewish victims and abductees are often forgotten. This attack targeted all Jewish life and is still being carried on by many today.
This day is also a turning point for the (radical) Left, globally. On the day of the pogrom itself, there was solidarity in many countries with those who want to destroy all Jewish life. Here, too, there is a continuous showing of solidarity with those enemies of humanity who are glorified as resistance and freedom fighters.
While the enemies of Jewish life are loud and visible everywhere, the emancipatory Left, including us, have failed to decisively and visibly articulate against antisemitism, even within our own ranks.
We therefore invite you to join us for a shared exchange.
The Education Day is an event organized by Ostra e. V. in cooperation with the Rosa Luxemburg Foundation Saxony and supported by AZ Conni. This measure is co-financed with tax funds based on the budget decided by the Saxon State Parliament.
