States of broken or lost connections seem to be ubiquitous within our modern way of life. They range from the procurement of interpersonal relationships, to the coexistence of analog and digital space, to the perception of humans in the context of their natural environment. The exhibition focuses on some of these areas of tension and invites contemplation of a world in which the connection to ourselves, our fellow human beings, and our environment often appears fragile.
Under the title “re.con” (reconnection), we, four young Dresdeners from different disciplines, have come together. Shaped by our friendship and our shared passion for art, we share our ideas and inspire and support each other. We – from left to right, Christoph (room and sound installations), Georg (painting), Timotheus (photography), Lea (graphics/street art) – want to create a space for dialogue and collective reflection on the value of connections in an ever-modernizing world with our works.
